Score Skates is an innovative app designed for scoring figure skaters, developed by a competitor with national experience. This application offers a modern, customizable interface that enhances the scoring experience while adhering to the International Judging System (IJS) and incorporating U.S. Figure Skating's practices for domestic competitions.

Modes of Operation

• Simple Mode: Tailored for beginners unfamiliar with the IJS system, this mode allows for basic entry of jumps, spins, and sequences on a single page. It simplifies the process by omitting GOE entries, making it accessible for users starting out.
• Button Mode: This comprehensive mode provides full IJS functionality. Users can navigate through three separate pages to input every key element and GOE used in competitions, covering jumps, spins, and sequences extensively.
• Swipe Mode: While offering complete IJS capabilities, this mode consolidates all functions onto one page for quick access. A joystick feature facilitates drag functions, enabling users to operate the app effectively without needing to look at the screen.

Program Components (PCS)

• Score Skates incorporates a modern three-part PCS system. Users can enter marks from 0 to 10 in 0.25 increments using sliders, with total scores calculated based on user input regarding level, gender, and segment.

Protocol Features

• The protocol section replicates a judge's score sheet from competitions, detailing element numbers, keys, bonuses, GOEs, and overall scores.
• Users can tap on elements for detailed views and edit them through a text field interface. Elements can be reordered or deleted by holding and dragging or via an Edit button.
• This section provides totals for TES, PCS, deductions, and segment scoring.
• The "Save" function allows users to store protocols for review in the "Saved Results" tab after closing the app.
• A sharing feature enables users to export protocols or save them as images.

Saved Results

• Protocols saved from the "Scores" tab remain accessible even after app closure.
• Users can delete saved protocols by swiping left or share them as images.
• The filter function allows users to sort protocols by names, dates, or segments.
• A Raw button in the "Scores" tab permits protocol imports from shared text formats.

Element Checks

• The app's algorithm systematically verifies each element's validity (*), identifies repeated elements (+REP), and assesses eligibility for bonuses (b1), based on skater level, gender, and segment requirements.
• This feature can be toggled on or off in the settings section according to user preferences.
